Alloy diff head housing to suit all English axles; Anglia Cortina Escort and Capri. These are cast in the UK from L169 alloy and heat treated with mounting faces finished individually. We source these from our gearbox supplier and the quality is superb. The nose is a copy of the original Magnesium diffs used in the 60’s which had an additional strengthening rib. L169 is an aerospace spec alloy which has a tensile strength higher than L155 allowing it to take more strain before bending. L169 has elongation of around 3%; L155 is around 4% meaning it can bend a bit more before breaking. This casting design has approx. 40% more metal in the mounting flange area with an extra rib on the body, resulting in more material in the high stressed area of the mounting flange which is much thicker than the cast iron diff nose. Saves approx 5 kg. Perfect for historical racing as these are a replica of the original Ford Motorsport units. Accepts standard pinion seal washers and bearings.
